Yep, we closed on it last Friday, phew. I am so glad we are finally done with that mess. We are now pulling out carpet, ripping off wallpaper, blech, I DESPISE WALLPAPER, and making selections for wood floors, paint, etc. etc. We're hoping to have things done and move in by the end of Spring. This will pretty much keep me occupied for the next few months, along with running after Marisa at every turn.
She is growing like a weed, she did a drive by when in came to crawling and has progressed from walking to walking really fast, ie trying to run. Her new words to date are Doggy, Kitty, Baby, Spongebob, Get, said while pointing to the dogs, That, and Caela. She likes to listen to music and sings and dances when her favorite songs come on, so far she likes Taylor Swift's, fifteen, and Owl City's , dragonflies. She will literally stop what she is doing when she hears either song and start singing and dancing. I have video taped them, and will post them someday soon.
Caela is still plugging along in school, someday she might actually get her license before she's 18. She doesn't dance as much this year, about 6 hours a week. She is going to cut back even more next year because her school work is getting harder and I want her to focus more on her last two years. She is wanting to get a job this summer, so I told her she better work her buns off regarding her grades so she can get her license because I was not going to ferry her to and from work. I do enough of that during the school year, the summer is my break.
As for me, I have been spending some time making jewelry, since I can't really scrap as much, I have been tinkering around with wire and beads instead. They are a little more portable than my scrap stuff. I am also mentally deciding what I will be getting rid of from my scrap room, since I won't have a room in the new house. Well, at least not until the two teenagers are graduated and gone, then I will have the room. If anyone is needing anything specific, let me know, I just might have it and be willing to part with it.
As for a wedding taking place this summer, it's not going to happen. Technically, Michael and I were married through the JP in July 09. He, the girls and I drove up to the Rocky Mountains, to a trail at Long's Peak and said or vows there and took some photos. We hadn't planned on telling anyone since we were having a wedding in July 10, however, we have decided to forgo the wedding and spend the money on the house instead. It makes more sense, and besides anyone that knows me well, knows I hate having attention being drawn to me. Nothing screams ATTENTION like a wedding. Although it was simple, it is still memorable, because whenever we look towards the mountains, we have a clear view of Long's Peak. Maybe in a few years we will have some sort of ceremony, but I am happy with our decision.
I am hoping you all have a wonderful New Year, I can't wait to hear how things are going with all of your lives and I look forward to keeping you all updated with this new chapter in ours.
HUGS to everyone.
