Back to Business, Slacking, and "The SECRET(s)".

Today was the first day back to class, I'm proud to say that I made it on time to my morning class. I'm not a morning person, so it takes me awhile to get back into the swing of things. I am right this minute typing this up five minutes before I have to go to my icky afternoon math class. I think we are having a test this week, but for the life of me, I can't remember if it was today or Thursday. I also completely forgot that I had homework to do so I scrambled to get in done Saturday and yesterday. My Anthro class has its interesting days, I get to find out what grade I received on the mid term on Thursday. We are beginning the section on sexuality, language, and religion. Should be interesting. I have quite a few papers that I need to write up for this class, so I will force myself to do it on my off days. I've been forcing myself to speak up in this class too. For those of you that don't know, I DESPISE public speaking. If I can get away with blending into the wall, then I am so there. But I decided that I have to contribute something to my classes, since I am paying an arm and a leg for them. Might as well get my money's worth, right?!

Spring break is over and I didn't do a single, solitary, productive thing the entire week. Partly due to the big secret and partly due to sheer laziness. It seemed like too much of a hassle for me to pull out pp, print off photos and use my ever decreasing brain power to create anything fantabulous, so I didn't. I did however, trim one of my new SU stamp sets and mount them on their blocks. But that was only accomplished because I thought I would be making something with them. It didn't happen, but the set is all nice and pretty and ready to go.

Well, I decided to post the reveal to the much anticipated "secret(s)" early for both Patti and Rina, since Patti will be gone about the time I planned on sharing and I am pretty sure Rina is going to hunt me down and harm me if I don't tell her soon. (btw Rina you were right)

Okay first reveal.




Michael and I became engaged in November. I held off saying anything until we told most family in person. I figured finding out in an email or my blog would be uncool, so there is that. We set the date for July 24, 2010.

My second reveal is as follows....

We're going to have a baby!!!


It was a total shocker to us both, but we are super excited. I am 9 weeks and five days today. It's been so long since I was pregnant that I forgot what it felt like, but I am remembering fairly quick. The first couple of weeks I was in complete and utter shock that I don't think I had enough time to feel icky, but that has changed dramatically. I have MS in the afternoon and evening, the weird cravings are kicking in, one week I wanted nothing but eggs, eggs, and more eggs. Last week it was bacon, tomato, and mayonnaise. This week I've had a hankering for popsicles and sweets. Ironically, the foods I crave are things that I wouldn't normally eat, so it's been an adjustment trying to convince myself to eat them.

I plan on posting updates about how things are going and look forward to sharing all the new stuff with you all. Life has a way of making the best laid plans go awry, but words cannot express how much I am looking forward to this new adventure.
