Inauguration Of Barak Obama and other things.

Well, did any of you watch?? I did for a bit because Isaac, M's son, was in DC for it. So I watched to see if he got the chance to be on tv. He wasn't, but he did have a lot of fun there, he came home today. It will be nice to see what photos he took and how things went while he was there. I do know that he was able to meet Colin Powell and Al Gore. I don't usually speak politics with people, so I won't start now, but I will say that I am interested to see how things will go in the next six months. I do know that I would never want the job, and I don't believe that only one person put us in the predicament that we are in now, nor do I believe that only one person will get us out of it either. So with that said, I wish President Obama much luck while he is in office.

Algebra is going well, some parts are sticking better in my brain than others, but I keep plugging along. Patti, I would let you Pee Wee sit any day, and I wish you did live closer to me, and not simply for PW sitting either. I don't trust many people with my kids, I'm not just concerned for their safety, but in what values and morals, manners, etc. that they will pick up from other people. Now, don't get me wrong, I am not a pillar of the community by any means, but at least I can explain the things I have done and use them as a guideline for what I want them to learn. All in all, I have always felt that my kids are my responsiblity, no one else's, therefore, why would I want someone else raising them? I choose to not work, so that I can be with them. Am I knocking mother's that do work? Nope! sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. So don't anyone take this the wrong way, my opinion regarding my kids, matters to me only. I am just sharing my thoughts with you all.

It has been exceptionally warm here for January. Normally, it is one of the coldest months, but today it reached up to 69 degrees. I contemplated taking PW and the dachsies for a walk, but decided to wait until Caela came home from school. Now it is cloudy and chilly, so I will have to pass. That is typcial Colorado weather, if you don't like the temperature, wait a few minutes, it will change. lol

Alrighty, I suppose I better get back to the grindstone. I plan on taking my first test this weekend, so I need to study, study, study.

Thanks for the compliment on Pee Wee sitting! I agree totally with the raising of your own kids. I do understand that our economy does force many moms to work but if they can stay home there is no job that can compare and the rewards are far superior than financial ones.
On the political, again I agree. I do feel that there is too much faith put in our new president--after all he is only a man and not a god. I feel many people will be disappointed if he isn't able to perform the miracles they think he should. My prayers are with him--it's a job I could never do and would never want to.
Keep at the books and study hard for the test. You are amazing!
I would love some 69 degree weather!!! Last week we had -45 with the wind chills.
I will be heading off to Guatemala on Sun. Would you like to receive progress emails?
Have a great tomorrow!

Patti, Yes, most definitely on the email reports. I enjoy reading what you all do with the people while you are there. Hope you have a new camera to take photos with also.

Petra, the dachsies and cat have been hugged and petted just for you. Wheelie is still walking around with a big head since he and Julia share a name. ;D

Why was was Issac in DC for that? How exciting. I didn't watch the Inauguration- Dora was on, you know. ;) I didn't vote for the man, but I think and hope he will do a good job. We need to support whomever is our president and hope for the best.

I'm glad Algebra is going along as well as it can, and admire all that you do! I can't even get my email answered, and you're taking care of babies and kids and fur kids, and a house and doing Algebra.... :) whew! I'm tired just typing that. hee hee.

It's been extra warm here, too, but now we're expecting rain. boo! We need it badly, but I still hate it.
