Marisa's Photo Shoot

I was finally able to take some decent photos of Marisa one day last week. I was waiting for a day where it was really warm since she was going to be in a diaper only. I had to wait for DD to come home from school also, so she could help me set up the background and props. I think a few of the shots came out great. Especially the photo in my topper. I am going to try again when she is able to hold her head up better.

Take a look at the photos in the slide show and let me know what you think.

On a non photo end, Marisa has been dealing with some colic issues during the evening, so it's been hard getting adjusted to the unhappy, grumpy, times, but we are managing. I am trying to recall all of the tricks that I used with the other three all those years ago. I am hoping that this will be short lived and not last until she is four months old, which can be possible.

I finally found a car that I was happy with, it's a 2003 VW Passat. M and I will be going and picking it up either Thursday or Saturday, it depends on what time he is able to get off work on Thurs. I will post photos of the car when I bring it home.

Aside from this, life is pretty much centered around Marisa and keeping her happy. We've decided that since the pregnancy and delivery were relatively smooth and hassle free, now that she is out in the world, she is going to be hell on wheels. lol. I think she has been giving us a glimpse of what her personality will be like. All I can say is DIVA!!!!

I am hoping to get a package mailed to you tomorrow. I am finally feeling like I have started to process everything that took place all last week--a wonderful time with many lessons and blessings. Any way I found the cutest little________. Thanks too for your very generous gift for the school. Pics will be coming along with the package--had to get them from someone else---my camera went missing. :( You are such a kind and generous friend!!! {{{{{{{{ }}}}}}}}(No wonder you get to be queen!)

AAWWW those pictures are gorgeous!!! What a cutie! I think you did an awesome job on those...now my questions are....what you use for lighting...flash or what...I see the catchlights in her eyes...what lens? I want tips dammit...LOL!!!

Rina, Thanks! I used natural lighting, opened up the curtains in my room when the sun was setting to the west, also used the flash on the camera and the bedroom lights. I think I used my 18-55 lens, it was that one or the tamron lens that I have. Pretty sure it was the 18-55 though. I had her laying down on white furry fabric, with a rainbow sheer fabric in the background, along with white fabric backing the sheer fabric. So all of the white around her acted like bounce lighting that you would get with the speed light. I planned on using my speed light, but she was being difficult so I just used what I could reach. Hope this answers your questions.

Patti, looking forward to hearing more and seeing photos of your recent trip to Guatemala. Sorry to hear that your camera went missing, I would have a huge cow if that happened to mine.

Can't wait to see what you have sent the royal Diva.

Hope what I sent for the kids will help as much as possible.
