Merry Christmas

Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas Eve and Day. We are going to spend time with M's grandparents and Dad on CM Eve and then his Mom on CM Day. The girls and I spent Monday with my SIL, her Mom, and my niece and nephew and exchanged gifts then. My brother and Michael both had to work, so it gave us time to catch up. Caela and I had a discussion this year, and we both decided that next year she would get one thing that she desperately wants, and then the rest of her budget would go to help other kids. I have really grown to not liking the commercial side of Christmas and decided to do something about it, well at least from our family standpoint. I was even more convinced after Caela and I were in Build a Bear Workshop. There was a teenage girl in line behind us. She gets a phone call and starts talking to the other person. All I hear next is, "Well I want the touch screen Ipod, and it had better be an Ipod, I don't want some knock off mp3 player." Caela and I both just stared at each other and shook our heads. When did things get to this point? If Caela would have ever said that to me, she would be trying to figure out how to haul around an 8 track player on her person, cause she sure as heck wouldn't get the Ipod with that attitude. Anyway, that is what the plan is for next year, I am putting it in writing here so I can refer back to it.

I didn't mean to get all ranty here, I just had to say something to someone "adult" about it.

From our family to yours, We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.

Love Ya'll.

Merry Christmas! Love your new plan about giving to others. We have so much excess in our country and it doesn't make us happy. Well, except for scrap supplies!!!! Have a wonderful New Year and best wishes and of course many blessings! Love ya,
Patti
