from his duties. I had a total hard drive crash on Friday. I got most of the stuff backed up, but there are a few programs that I did not have a hard disk for so I will have to either have someone more techy than me retrieve them off the drive or else I will have to repurchase them again.
I did get a new PC Friday night, so at least I am not completely lost to the land of cyberspace. I have a nice 19" flatscreen monitor now, so I don't have to scroll forever to read things anymore. I made sure to get a pc that had a large number of hard drive and memory space. This one is supposed to be a good pc for media type things, so that is a plus. I chalked up getting the new one as my birthday, Chrismas, Marisa's birth present, makes it easier to swallow spending the money on it.
Michael made an appointment to have a "family" photo taken today, so I should go and finish getting ready for it. That is what I told him I wanted for my birthday, so viola', happy birthday to me! LOL
I have a new Facebook account, my SIL forced me to get one so we could chat back and forth. If any one is interested in being my "friend" on it, let me know and I will send you an invite. Not sure how often I will use it, but it has a nice chat feature on it that is handy.
Hope you all have had a nice weekend. We had snow last week, so it's been interesting driveing my car around, now that I have AWD, I'm not so nervous driving on the icy streets.

I'm glad you got your new PC. They have a really cool one from HP that has a touch screen. It is for media stuff too and so wickedly cool that you can touch the screen to edit and stuff! I want one so bad but alas, I just built a super fast one last year with 2 500GB hard drives. So, no upgrades for me :(

Vanessa, I did see that you poked me. So I made sure to do the same back as fast as I could. lol
The photos session went okay. Michael didn't smile like he was a Muppet character this year, the two utes did as instructed with minimal whining. Marisa, God love her, fell asleep through the majority of it. There are only two photos where she is awake. I spend hours and hours trying to get a posed photo of her sleeping and she refuses. We go and pay money to have a photo taken and she sleeps!
Liz, I was drooling over the new HP touch pc too. I just can't fathom spending $1400 on it when they become obsolete within 3 years. I am thinking about putting another 500 gb hard drive in mine too. I was thinking this morning what I was going to do once my two external drives are full.
