Caela's Recital Pieces

Here are two video's I took of Caela performing on Friday morning at rehearsal. The first one is her Pointe piece and the second should be her Ballet dance. I really like her Ballet piece, it's ballet with a more modern touch to it.

She did really well last night, she only made a couple of errors during her Pointe dance. Afterwards, I asked her what happened, and she said she forgot where she was?! I said, you're wearing a costume, you have pointe shoes on, and you were on a stage, how could you FORGET where you were???? She meant that she was thinking ahead in the dance steps and lost track of where she was at in the piece. All I know is that is not what I heard! LOL

We usually go out for dinner after her show, but we ended up with a front flat tire. Michael was there to save the day. We took it in this morning to get fixed before he leaves for Canada/New York for the week. I will probably take her to dinner tonight or tomorrow.

I have this week earmarked to clean out the basement, get rid of clothes and stuff down there that I keep meaning to donate and keep forgetting to do. I have been in major "Spring Cleaning" mode lately, so if you all don't hear from me in the next week, I will probably be downstairs, directing Caela what needs to be moved in the "give away" pile and what can stay.

Cool Sis, my niece is doing very well at her ballet performance. I especially liked the pointed shoes performance.

I wish you good luck on cleaning out the basement. I know it is going to be a hell of a job, since I have seen how big your basement really is.

Hugs,
Petra

V, she's used to my smart a$$ comments, she lives for them, they make her life feel complete. lol

I really like the second dance too. It's so very different from the usual ballet routine. She will get to perform it again for Ballet Co. next year, so she's excited.
