Rain, Rain, Go Away

it has rained the last two days, off and on, more on than off though. This means I haven't been able to take the weenies for a walk, and they are driving me insane. I hate driving in the rain, so I have spent some time working on the father's day cards that I need to finish. I am too lazy to upload them twice, you can go and view them on my scrappy blog if you would like.

Aside from the usual boring stuff like grocery shopping and such, I have been pretty much just lounging around. I bought Michael's father's day present, and a new clothes steamer. I DESPISE ironing, and I decided to take the easy way out instead. It sounds like the weather this weekend in going to be a scorcher, which means I will be sweating outside in the sun for that wedding we have to go to on Saturday.

I woke up at 4 a.m. this morning because I have been getting braxton hicks contractions lately. For the life of me, I can't remember if this is normal for me or not, so I have been taking it easy. I have noticed that they usually appear when I am dehydrated, and I have made more of an effort to drink water. I plan on asking my doctor next Thursday at our appointment if they continue.

Michael's two dogs Mufasah and Sarabi made a jail break on Monday, he was at work, and has been working on building a more sturdy fence so they can't get out. Well, the little nerdballs figured out how to get past the fence he had keeping them in the front yard, and then dug a hole and took off. He came home and had to go and bail them out of doggie jail.

My asthmatic cat has been exceptionally lovey towards me since I became pregnant. I know that animals can sense things, but he's gone wacky. I used to wake up in the morning and find him at the foot of the bed, in the last couple of months, I wake up to his furry body snuggled right next to me. Most of the time, I can feel him jump on the bed in the middle of the night, so I wake up and shoo him away, but he's a sneaky little turd and comes back when I am zonked out. A couple of times, he will wait for me to wake up and then come and put one of his paws on my belly. It's really kind of cute, and I hope I can catch him in a photo doing it.

Not much else to share, what can I say, I live a boring life. lol

AWE how sweet that the dog is trying to connect with the bebe. I hope you catch a picture of it, would make a great page for the baby album.

That is truly sweet. Even my grumpy old red one is a lot sweeter for me since I am pregnant. There are days that he is following me close.

Give a cuddle from me to your miauwing furbaby.

When I was pregnant with Caitlin, my cat Punkin used to lay on my stomach. When Caitlin was born, the cat would cuddle up to her on the couch. It was so funny.

LOL at the dogs "breaking out" of the yard! The visual is hysterical, but I bet it wasn't when you went through it. Oh well, a laugh for me.... he he he!

I think the contractions are to "Loosen up" the muscles as your belly expands. Probably nothing to worry about... but then again, I'm not the doctor.... :)

Hope things move along at a steady pace... maybe I'll try calling next week, my dramafest is just too exhausting right now for any conversations. Talk to you then ~ HUGS!

My cat like to spoon when I was pregnant with my son.. since I would be on my side he would come curl up in the crook of my belly and sleep there.. don't know how many times he went flying off the bed cuz he got scared cuz Kairo kicked hard enough for him to feel it.. LOL Animals are weird!

Braxton Hicks are normal.. gotta remember every pregnancy is different. What happened with your daughter might not happen with this one and vice versa.

Better you than me girl! LOL I LOVE A NEUTERED MALE!

Well has the rain gone away yet?

Yep, Pam. It finally stopped raining yesterday, so I took the weenies for their walk. It was a relief for everyone.

Li, I don't think I had them with DD, but with the youngest DS I think I did and he ended up being 4weeks premature, so just hoping things aren't similar this time. Ang, I have read that they loosen the muscles up, I just don't want them to get too loose. kwim?

Vanessa, I'm drinking so much water, I should just live in the bathroom these days. lol

Thanks guys for making me feel not so paranoid though, it helped.
