Say Hello To My Little Friend.........

Yep, you read that right. My boy turned into a girl!!! We were both surprised to see that there was a missing appendage, but we're excited. Caela enjoyed rubbing it in every chance she had, so I amended my original wish for her when she has children once again. Instead of the one boy first, then the girl, I wished for twin girls her first go round! HA! that will teach her to mock me! lol

She was a good girl and let the tech check her out all over, the only time she was being difficult was when the tech tried to get a profile view of her, she kept putting her hands by her face. Guess that is a sign that she isn't going to like me playing paparazzi when she is born. We have a video recording of her ultrasound and I am feverishly trying to figure out how to convert it to a different format so I can post it. Watching it takes my breath away, I wish I had these done when I was pregnant with Josh, Chance, and Caela.

Michael and I have thrown around some names, but are waiting to solidify our decision before we say what it is for sure. Although I have said it some people to hear how it sounds.

I'm feeling much better today, hardly any contractions, so I hope she was just protesting to us referring to her as "him" all this time.

DD wanted to go shopping already, so I took her to look around and we bought a few things. She promptly made a list of all the things we will need and has it ready when we do the major shopping in a few months. Caela let me know from the start what gender she preferred, so she is super excited. Which is great to know, since I was concerned that she would feel somewhat slighted if we had a girl.

Now this means Caela can describe what life in a convent is like to the baby when the time comes. :D

Vanessa, I asked my dr. if there was any way that we could have it on video, and he told me that we could, otherwise, I don't think they would have done it. I was bound and determined to get it though, even if I had to bring my video camera in to do it.

AWWWW another little girl....how cool you got it on video as well...I got that with both of the girls but that's something I did on my own visiting one of those 3d ultrasounds places and paying for it...so how cool you got yours from your doctor....with Tommy I never even got an ultrasound pic....stinks!!!

I am SO EXCITED for you & M. Glad that you were able to get the video. Hope you can share it. Have you decided on the nursery's theme?

Pam, we haven't decided on a theme yet. I was not going to create a nursery since I don't plan on living here in this house for very much longer. So the baby will have her own little spot in our bedroom. There are a couple of crib sets that I've looked at though.

Vanessa, lol on the tracker. You can't help that you love your Queen so much. ;P Assertiveness is good, it gets you what you need, when you need it. I think I drive the dr. nuts though, cause I ask a million questions.

Rina, I would have loved to have the 3D view of the baby, but my dr's office doesn't do them. The 2d is good enough though, like I said, I never had a u/s with the boys or Caela either, so this was super cool to see.
