I have this overwhelming urge to clean the hell out of everything, much more than usual around this time, it's driving Michael and Caela crazy. lol
We went to an Arts Picnic yesterday for a few hours. Michael had to visit the "beer garden" they had there, and I just went for the food. lol The guy that impersonates Elvis was there again, so I had DD get close to take a couple of photos. He motioned for her to get closer, but she shook her head and scampered off.

Her audition went well, I didn't take photos because I didn't want to distract her. The cool thing afterwards is that her ballet instructor suggested she take one day of the 3/4 class and then two days in the 4/5 class. This will give her a little bit of refresher from level 3, but challenge her to learn/do more in the 4/5. Like I said in an earlier post, this is a huge accomplishment for her since she was only in the level 3 class for one year. I'm very proud of her and impressed with how dedicted she has been to getting better. The beginning of last year, she was really getting frustrated by two specific girls who were constantly being favored by the instructors, which in turn, pretty much allowed them to get away with alot. She would come home and tell me about it, and my response to her was that there will always be people like that in the world, and the best thing she could do was work harder, improve her technique, and blow them out of the water with her ability. I think for once in her short life, she listened to me and worked her butt off and now she has been rewarded with the skipping of two years and her improved talent. So WOO HOO for her.
A few weeks ago, I viewed some photos that Vanessa had taken of her boxer "Murphy" and his birthday cake. This promptly made me realize that I had forgotten both Spitfire's and Wheelie's birthdays in May and July, and will more then likely forget Maddie's in November, so we decided to give them an unbirthday party complete with cupcakes and party hats. I felt like such a neglectiful mother, so I fawned over them and tried to kiss up. Maddie will be 5, she got a new "biker babe" shirt that she is modeling for you all up above, Spit's is 7 and he got some cat toys and Wheelie is 8, he got a new stuffed weenie dog.

Spit's promptly ran out the dog door with his hat and stayed away, he was being a party pooper, however, the weenies were well behaved and enjoyed taking turns eating their cupcake.
Finally, we are heading out Monday around noonish to go to Glenwood Springs for the week, we will be back sometime Friday evening. Everyone have fun and make sure to post lots of interesting things on your blogs, so that I have something to read when I get back.
Petra, Vanessa, and Rina, be on the lookout for mail headed your way. I didn't make it to the PO on Friday, so I will mail everything in the morning.
BYE!!!
