Hope you all have something nice planned for the day. Pam, Geri and anyone else near the Gulf, hope your day/week isn't too screwed because of Hurricane Gustav. Sending good vibes your way that you all pull out of it okay.
We don't have a whole lot planned, a BBQ in the afternoon sometime, and that is about it. We may get some storms later this afternoon/evening, so that will have an effect on the BBQ I'm sure. M's. Grandma is visiting from NE this weekend, so we will spend some time chatting and such with her and the rest of the family.
I'd like to find some time to mess around with my scrappy stuff. I was considering doing the recycle challenge at SBTO, but I guess that depends on whether I am in a scrappy mood or not. Pamala and I share a brain, so our creativity has been hit or miss because we forget who has the whole brain for the day. Most of the time I think she has it, but she tells me that I always do. I think she just likes watching me hunt around for it, while she's giggling away in the corner like a psychopath.
I've been feeling better, still congested some, but not feeling like I want to be put down anymore. I was having a hard time breathing on Saturday, not sure if it was because of the congestion or whether I was having an anxiety attack. Either way, I managed to get through Caela's birthday dinner without passing out into my steak tips.
I took her to spend some of her GC's yesterday and then we went and looked at new cars. I've been considering getting a VW, either a Passat or Jetta. Actually, I'd like to get a Charger or a Mustang, but I don't think they get very good gas mileage. I have a two door Grand Prix right now, which isn't very conducive to putting in and taking out a car seat, so I decided I better upgrade. I refuse to drive a mini van, so I have to find something else that is "child" friendly. SUV's suck up too much gas, but I want AWD, so my choices are pretty limited. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions.
What kind of vehicle do you all drive, and why did you choose it??? Maybe this will help me figure out what to buy.

Have a great day! Nothing exciting planned here- some shopping and prepping for painting.
It was a very sad day, in deed, when I got a ... yep, mini van! I used to drive a cute little truck. Although I have to say, the mini van is awesome for convenience- it's so easy to get in and out of and plenty of room for the kid and dog and all the crap I have to haul. Cool? perhaps not, but I gave up cool a long time ago. ha ha ha.
I like your choices though, so good luck on your hunt.
Glad to hear you are feeling better. It gets kinda hard to breathe anyway towards the end with all that baby in there squishing everything. It was almost impossible for me to even pee at the end as Jack was pushed up on my bladder. Kids.... hee hee.
I'm with vanessa...I drive a mini van...and I LOVE LOVE IT!!!!
and I still consider myself cool!!!
COOL MOMMA!!!
