Another Uneventful Day in CO.

Hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend, Sat. and Sun. were decent, it rained all day on Monday, but we managed to have a BBQ at Michael's Mom's house regardless. We celebrated his sister's birthday also, which meant eating CAKE!!!! I loooooovveee birthday cake, especially when it's not mine. lol

I actually have most of the stuff in my bedroom packed up and ready to relocate to the basement. I just have to move the weenies casita into the living room and then Michael and all his brawn can move furniture out so we can rip the carpet up! Caela has half of her carpet gone, she did it on Sat and Sun. Pretty impressed with how hard this kid works sometimes, so I am thankful that I didn't drop her off at one of the donation spots in town when she was younger. The house smells ten times better now that most of the carpet it gone! Michael fixed the pressure vaccum for the sprinkler system again, for the third time. My dumb ass forgot to shut the water off over the winter and it blew the vacuum in half! DUH moment! I only realized it when Caela went outside for some reason after one of our snow storms and told me there was a nice layer of ice on the fence and water was spewing out all over. Last year we had to replace it because one of our idiot neighbors decided to use it as a foothold to get into our backyard. The fatass broke it off in two, so Michael fixed it then too. I always knew it was a good idea to date a guy that was a Bob Vila type.

Today, I plan on finishing up a card I started last week, before I smacked my butt in gear to box things up. I also need to do laundry and then reorganize my scrappy room.

Caela gets out of school on Friday, WOO HOO! No more getting up early to haul her there, the only down side is we are going to clean out the basement and get rid of a lot of things. Cool thing is that she knows if we get things done early in the first few weeks of summer vacation, then we will have the rest of the time to mess around. So it all pays off. Sometimes I feel like a mean ole witch for being so hard on her about being responsible and stuff, but when I see her take the initiative in doing work around the house and holding her own, I know that I have given her a great basis for survivial. She won't be lazy when it comes to hard work and she will be independant and be capable of making it in the real world. So many kids today have had things handed to them and expect things to be that way when they reach adulthood. That drives me nuts.

Other than all this boring stuff, not much else is happening. The girl has a recital piece on Saturday and that is about it. Oh yeah, and I need to find a pup tent to wear for a wedding that takes place in two weeks. That could be a fun and exciting experience. Yeah! Riiight!! lol

Hey don't beat yourself up about being tough on the girl. It's a blessing that will keep paying off.

Regarding the carpet, I bet you notice a slight change in your health. When we got rid of ours, I noticed that my sinus weren't SO bad.

I wanna see pics of the before & after.

I can only hope it pays off.

I have noticed a huge change already with the carpet. My hacky cat doesn't nearly have as hard of a time breathing.

I will try to take photos of the work as it goes.
